Trusting You For This Day

Lord,

It’s like this. Whatever it is that you’ve called me to do this day, I shall do it. And not resent it. I shall happily accept whatever it is that you have laid before me, that you have put on my plate, with joy.

I will not be bitter.

I will not complain.

I will not wish I were elsewhere or cry out “why is this happening to me?”

I will not let my feelings govern my steps. I will not keep using the excuse “I don’t feel like it”.

Instead of repeating “I’m so tired”, I will change it to “I’m SO thankful”.

Lord turn my grumblings into gratitude.

from Panera. but cut like a heart <3 🙂

Help me be more forgiving of other people and see them through Your lens of compassion.

Oh, to have a Love like Yours.

Oh, to know You and be known by You.

What a privilege. What an honor.

Lord, in actuality, there are no words to describe what a gift. What a joy divine.

Leaning on the everlasting arms.

All I can do is worship.

“Everlasting Arms” by Iris DeMent

What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning,
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Oh, how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
Oh, how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning,
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning,
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,

Leaning on the everlasting arms.

Go and trust Him today. He is making you into a saint today. He is working to make you holy. In His perfect time, at His deliberate pace. Trust Him.

facebook live

I just went live for the first time. It was a little scary. You can watch my video here: https://www.facebook.com/skizarefun09/videos/515989049163821/

I’ve been meaning to use facebook live for a while so I just decided to go ahead and do it today! It’s so easy to record the video right there and not worry about edits or anything. It’s the raw version. Soooo much easier. I like it. I wanna start doing it more. Also, singing helped me get out of my own head. I’ve been kinda stuck in my head space for a while on and off this afternoon. But no longer!

And in just a few minutes I’ma head out to bible study. Well, pre-planning meeting and then the actual study. Should be fun :~)

😀

Hope y’all are having an awesome Monday. Check out my other social medias and follow! I make posts on christian living, videos, vlogs, songs… <3

Praise the Lord

I am not sick! And I got a shipment of books today! And drank good coffee. Also went on a sunny walk and had a lovely prayer sesh. Was productive… Life is good.

Now I’m at church about to have a pre-meeting meeting. Hehe gotta love those back-to-back meetings ^_^ 🙂

Today is a Monday. But honestly, I like Mondays. Don’t mind em. I actually like all of my days usually. There is good in every single day that our good Lord creates and allows us to partake in and enjoy. Yes, there are downs to each day. Challenges. Obstacles. Problems to solve. But we have the privilege of access to a mighty God who is more than able to fight our battles if we only ask Him.

Yep, calling on the Lord is the way to get thangs done.

I am so thankful for prayer. I am praising the Lord for this language that He gave us to communicate with Him and be able to tell Him about our days, our struggles, lean on Him and ask for help. But also to adore Him, confess to Him and rely on Him for everything.

Look for ways to glorify our sweet Lord today!! <3 <3 <3

More later.

It’s Not What You Think book review

Jefferson Bethke’s second book It’s Not What You Think has been on my wish list for months. I finally splurged and bought it for myself in the beginning of December, as an early Christmas present. I also bought my best friend, Alex, a copy (which she has yet to receive)– it’s comin’ girl!!

It was definitely worth waiting for. Jeff’s style is very simple. He’s on the money when he speaks and writes. To the point. And he’s totally himself. He’s true and authentic, doesn’t beat around the bush, and is very relatable; as a fellow 20something in this day in age.

He has a refreshing way of looking at traditional beliefs that make them interesting again. Chapter 5 is all about the Sabbath and how important it is to celebrate it. He also discusses what the Sabbath is actually intended for, and how the design of the week makes sense. Sabbath is for resting, but it’s also for playing, celebrating, worshipping, praising, being with family and friends and enjoying good food, drink and conversation.

Chapter 6 is about worship, and which god people are worshipping. Everyone has a god, whether it’s love, money, sex, exercise, science, power. Bethke makes you question who’s on the pedestal, and whether or not that god is fulfilling you or keeping your life empty and average.

In Chapter 8, he talks about scars, and how every scar tells a story of healing. How we must embrace our scars and be glad that they’re no longer open wounds. They’re healed, we learned something from them, and they make us who we are:  a real human with a real history, who suffered real pain.

Are you someone who’s unsure which god you’re worshipping? Check dis out

Are you wondering why so many people believe in Jesus Christ or would want an identity in Him? Dis is for you

Are you unfulfilled and trying to find a satisfying lifestyle? Read it!
