Still hurr!

Haha yeah so today’s day 3. In bed earlier than yesterday. Geezum crowe. And I got my period today! Joy! Almost summitted Glastenbury w/ Steve, Dan, Charlie, Mateo, Alex and Sam. But ankle was throbbing so I cut out early. Camped at the base of the mountain, will summit tomorrow. And get water. Steve’s really nice. And funny. He, Charlie & Dan work together. Dan’s girlfriend has two kids: Mateo and Alex. The three men do IT work, testing hard drives and stuff. Steve deals w/ logistics. “If a server’s down in Thailand, I can fix that”. Along those lines. Thru-Hiking the Long Trail Day 1

It’s been a while!

In the last couple of weeks I finished up nannying, cleaned my last house for a while, cleaned up my room to get it ready to sublet, cooked & dehydrated my last couple boxes of pasta, and hiked 57 miles through the Green Mountains!

My friend Judith drove me to Williamstown, MA last Wednesday and we dined at Noco Pastaria and camped at the Winston County Park. They had a nice pond to swim in, and a clean & quiet bath house to shower in. We started the trail on Thursday the 3rd and Judith hiked the first 3.3 miles with me until we reached the official start of the Long Trail, just over the Massachusetts border.

the long trail

Currently can’t stop blogging. This whole wordpress thing is pretty addicting. And it’s awesome because it gives me a justifiable excuse to be introverted. Frankly, I can be pretty social too. When I’m around my people who I feel at ease with, friends, mentors, family (for the most part), I talk and joke and laugh and want to do fun things with them.
