second wind

11:22

wowwww I’m alive and awake! The Lord has been sustaining me …. and actually helping me thrive. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo blessed. God gives me the tasks, and then He gives me the strength to complete the tasks. He gives me the grace to deal with hard-to-deal-with people and situations, and makes a way before me.

He goes before me and follows behind me. He hems me in from all sides and carries me; just like He did with Joshua and the Israelites in the bible. He made a way for them to finally get to the promised land of Canaan. And He did it in such an unexpected way… God parted the Jordan River. He stopped the flowing waters and provided dry ground for the Israelites to walk across on. Nobody predicted that or expected that. But that is so typical of God. The One True God of the bible is all powerful. Omnipotent. There is nothing that He cannot do. He is unstoppable. When His will is to give His people something, He will do so.

After parting the rushing waters of the Jordan and getting His people safely across, God then gave His people victory over the city of Jericho. And once again, God did it in an unexpected way. He told Joshua to lead the Israelites around the walled city of Jericho once a day for six days, and seven times on the seventh day. On the seventh day the people were to blow ram’s horns (shofars) and shout loudly. When they did this, the walls of Jericho came crashing down.

Can we pause for a second.

A city.

Surrounded by tall brick walls.

Stood no chance against

The Living God.

God is the creator of all things… He cannot be stopped by a brick wall.

Unlike us! We are faced with brick walls often, and see no other option than to turn back and give up. The bricks seem so final. So strong and powerful. So immovable

Yet God is the mover of bricks. He’s the melter of bricks. He can crumble bricks in his hand like you or I could crumble a cookie.

So when we call on the name of the Lord and ask Him to help us past a brick wall, we must know that He is more than able!!!!! What a small task for the God of the universe to perform! Christians, we MUST pray specifically, and often! How many walls are enclosing you into a place you want nothing more than to be out of because you haven’t prayed for God to crumble the wall around you? How many walls lay in front of you and block the path that leads to the desire of your heart and the center of God’s will for you?

I think God allows Satan to build or maintain walls in our lives to test our faith and see if we will call upon the Lord’s power and not just wallow in our own self-pity and weakness, and stop moving towards the best that God has for us.

What’s your wall? What’s blocking you and stopping you from advancing the kingdom of God? What’s stopping your ministry? What hiccups are you dealing with?

Remember, this is not a physical war we are in; it’s a spiritual war. But the physical is affected by the spiritual. We have to remember that calling upon the Lord in all situations is the only way that we win the daily battles in this life. The war is already won, but the battles continue on each day, each hour.

Let’s take more time to cease everything and pray to God, asking Him to break down the walls in our lives that are boxing us in or preventing us from moving forward.

Praise God that He is more than able! <3

God bless xxx
